For me, the means of expression such as color in painting, form in sculpture, and the relationship with the place in installation are attempts to connect macroscopic and microscopic areas that cannot be visualized with our daily lives, and I consider them as a way to move fluidly back and forth between them.
My themes of "multiplication and transformation," "combining boundaries," and "searching for points of connection" exist around us on a daily basis, in the external world that spreads around our bodies and feet, and in the internal world of our thoughts and minds. It is an elusive thing that keeps happening to us. I am interested in going back and forth between the inside and the outside, and creating a relationship with those things that cannot be visualized.
In Buddhism, "the impermanence of all things" is a simple expression of this. All real existence in this world is in a constant state of flux, both in form and essence, and existence cannot remain the same, even for a moment.
My choice of motifs such as mucus, minerals, and drifting objects is an attempt to see the invisible, and to access the "continuous and elusive connections" of this world with them.
